On May 27, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University hosted the scientific conference "Konstantin Gamsakhurdia: National Identity and Universal Values.
" The event featured the presentation of "Konstantin Gamsakhurdia (1893–1975) — Bibliography," published by the National Library of Georgia. Compiled by Maia Mikaberidze and edited by Soso Sighua, this comprehensive volume catalogs the author's extensive body of work, including novels, poetry, essays, and early publicist texts from pre- and post-independence periodicals, alongside foreign-language translations.
During the presentation, the National Library's General Director, Konstantine Gamsakhurdia, highlighted the author's impact:
"This book represents an encounter with an era and a name that infused Georgian literature with a distinctive European scale and intellectual depth, seamlessly uniting national spirit with historical memory and profound aesthetics.
" The conference was also addressed by Deputy Director Mirian Khositashvili and was jointly organized by Tbilisi State University, the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature, the National Library of Georgia, and the Giorgi Leonidze State Museum of Georgian Literature.
